Getting Ready for Christmas

Well,

I know you shouldn't put down a Cross Stitch project and work on a new one, or you end up with 20 unfinished patterns. However, I can't resist working on this Cross Stitch Christmas Stocking I just bought...

Aren't the penguins adorable!!

I can alway sget back to my Mermaid, right? Ha.

Well, I always love this time of year and I hope you are heading into a wonderful Cross Stitch Christmas season yourself.

Turkey Day!!!

Wow!

I can't believe Thanksgving came so fast this year. We are doing thanksgiving with friends this year since family is so far. I think it will be fun.

I am busy working on my latest Cross Stitch from Mirabilia. It's the South Seas Mermaid...

I have only just started stitching this one but I can't wait to see how it comes out.

I am not doing the Friday Madness shopping thing. I don't know about you but there is nothing I find enjoyable about leaping out of bed way too early to stand in a cold line in the dark so I can fight with a bunch of crazy people for some cheap junk I never needed in the first place. Ha! Let them have the stuff - I'll be comfy in bed. :-)

One of Those Days

Don't you hate it when the day seems to be cursed from staert to end.

My day started off by finding that after I had washed and folded the clothes, and was picking up toys in the boys room, I found that the little one had wet the bed and neglected to let me know. I guess I wan't quite done with the laundry.

I spent $5.00 in gas and 4 hours of time to run to town and catch up on the shopping, got home and had dinner half-prepared when I realized I had forgotten to get potatoes. That makes the planned steak and baked potatoes only a half-plan. Thank goodness for those 90 second microwaveable packets of rice!

To top it off, I settled down to catch up on a Cross Stitch Pattern I just re-started yesterday (after two years in the cross stitch bag being entirely neglected) I found upon careful examination that I was about 3 rows off from the chart and has been for these two years (and about 200 stitches). And this is not one of those mistakes you can "Blend In" if you know what I mean.

Oh well, there's always tomorrow - a whole new day to try and get a few things done right.

Cheers as I am off to bed before I stumble across any other mishaps.

My First Entry

Well,

this isn't much but I am just getting started.

I have been doing Cross Stitch for years and am struggling to finish dozens of projects that got started but interrupted.

I'll try to get some pictures.
